Hello! Here you'll find information on my teaching and research at California State University, Fullerton.

I teach a variety of courses, most recently, Studies in Discrete Mathematics (Math 586), Algebra and Probability for Secondary Teachers (Math 401), Fundamental Concepts of Elementary Mathematics (Math 303A), Discrete Structures (Math 270A) and Calculus (Math 150A). Information on current courses can be found on the Teaching page.

My research focuses on undergraduate students' understanding of mathematics, particularly on their understanding of proof, combinatorics, and probability. Current work can be found on the Research page.

I have also collected some resources to help students begin using LaTeX, a typesetting language designed for mathematics. LaTeX produces beautiful documents, and I now use it for almost all of my word processing, mathematical or not. I encourage all students, especially those who plan to teach, to learn to use LaTeX. On the LaTeX Resources page, I have collected some files to help you to get started.
